Ladies Day at The Grand National

When it comes to days out in the summer, you will find me first in the que for them all.  However, the price of an outfit for each can add up, which is probably why I own so many formal dresses, but not much to wear to work....

Recently I have been starting to get excited about the numerous summer events that will no doubt be popping up in my calendar and what I can wear to them all.  I have my first wedding of the year this weekend and my second at the beginning of May and then there is of course Ascot and Ladies Day at The Grand National, which I have been dying to go to for years.

Naturally I have already began (secretly) pinning outfits for each of the events since I was last at Ascot in the winter for Champions Day and I have made the mistake of falling in love with the most beautiful and expensive dress you can imagine.

There is of course the dress code, which is more relaxed than at Ascot, but you need to make sure you are following before you turn up in the wrong thing and end up being sent away like Lewis Hamilton last year at Wimbledon.... So make sure you are fully clued up before you go and you have your best hat at the ready.

Here is a selection of my favourite fascinators at the moment - Monsoon and Phase Eight are definitely winning the hat game this season, but Marks and Spencer and Debenhams have a really great selection too.

Which one would you pair with the outfit above though?

With the outfits slowly making a nice dent in your pocket, why not enter Ladrokes latest competition for a day at the races on them?

To enter all you need to do is upload an outfit you'd love to wear to Ascot and gain as many votes as possible.  In return, you could be in with a chance of winning the following:

Good Luck Everyone!
